Predeterminado Re: Blinder

Bueno

Summary:

The forum staff as well as most of the veteran members of this forum are aware of major issues related to the performance of the newly released Blinder HP-905. We have found these concerns to be widespread, and as a result feel a formal notification is appropriate for current and future buyers. The major issues are sun sensitivity false alerts, lack of jamming protection against the Vitronic Poliscan, and jamming against the LTI Ultralyte series 125 pps LIDAR guns when more than two heads are used in one CPU unit.

Issue 1: Blinder HP-905 / Sun Interference
The new Blinder HP-905 sensors are very sensitive to sun interference. Although the user can adjust the sensitivity, the lowest settings still induce false alerts. This shortfall is important since users are still not able to minimize the Sun Interference alerts under normal driving conditions. Users of the Blinder HP-905 or any electronic countermeasure should be alerted by real threats and not by environmental surroundings, because driving distractions are already too common.

Issue 2: Blinder HP-905 / Vitronic Poliscan Vulnerability
Members from this forum have posted experiences regarding the Blinder HP-905 shortfalls in order to bring them to everyone’s attention - including the inability to jam the Vitronic Poliscan. Blinder is aware of these deficiencies. Despite the input from their representatives, the company has not publicly made an announcement.

Issue 3: Blinder HP-905 / Tri and Quad Setup vs. LTI Ultralyte series LIDAR
When used with a 3 or 4 sensor setup (Tri or Quad), the Blinder HP-905 will not protect users against the LTI Ultralyte 125 pps series LIDAR gun. The system will alert to the threat, but will not jam the gun. This problem appears to be declining, since a few members have posted videos showing effective jam-to-gun (JTG) performance with newer purchased CPUs. When a 2 head setup (Dual) is targeted with these LTI Ultralyte 125 pps series LIDAR guns, the HP-905 proves unbeatable. Again, Blinder USA has not commented on the ineffectiveness of the Tri and Quad setup. For those loyal Blinder buyers who purchased the HP-905 during its release with a Tri or Quad setup or plan to upgrade their Dual setup, the staff agrees the company should support these buyers with a free second CPU and wiring harness in order to correct the problem.
