German made decouplers for the VW Vanagon Syncro. These kits allow you to engage and disengage power to the front wheels. I have been supplying these kits to the Vanagon community for two years. VW originally intended to deliver the vans with these decouplers installed but apparently cut costs just before going into production. These kits are machined from the original VW blueprints.
Decouplers install in the nosecone of your main transmission. Installation is easy, the nosecone (front part of main transmission) is bolted on with six bolts. The electrical connection is already prewired in your van. The kit supplies all the parts for the vacuum tie-in.
Your van needs to have a rear locker installed for this kit to work.

Benefits:
-lower stresses on the drivetrain when in 2WD mode
-no binding in turns
-better 4WD traction, especially in sand, if used in combination with a solid shaft (also available)
-allows you to continue to use an "aggressive" VC without damage to your van
-allows you to use a 14" spare wheel making wheel rotation easier and saving the money for a rear hatch spare wheel mount
