Siguiendo con el asunto, al parecer se encontro el por qué del priblema del motor (relentí muy alto en RPM) y que el motor andado tienda a pararse, pero una vez apagado se le da el encendido y parte sin problemas:
I called the GM Powertrain Contact Center 1-800-453-4123 and described the “limp mode” thing I am experiencing. They are aware that there is a problem with the MEFI 4 controller and say that it is a software problem. Their fix for it is…. Are you ready for this… Leave the coolant thermal sensor in the water jacket of the intake manifold but disconnect it and plug in another sensor (the same that is in the water jacket) and tape it in a location where it will not be affected by engine heat. Apparently the thermistor is sending a signal that is above the threshold of the software and thereby sending the ECM into limp mode. I did this and drove the car for about 25 miles and so far it works fine.
En atención a lo anterior estamos viendo donde instalar el nuevo sensor (bomba de agua, manguera de radiador, etc, donde no se vea "engañado" y ojala arroje una lectura lo más fidedigna posible.
