Estuve leyendo y me encontré con este articulo:

4Runner power is supplied by a 4.0-liter V6 aluminum engine with variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i). The lightweight engine is Toyota’s first all-aluminum engine on a light truck. It features a new linkless electronic throttle control system with intelligence (ETCS-i) that helps improve performance and increase fuel economy. The V6 produces 245 horsepower at 5,200 RPM and generates 282 lb.-ft. of torque at 3,400 RPM. The V6 delivers capable fuel economy with EPA city/highway gas mileage estimates of 18/21 mpg for 2WD models and 17/21 for 4WD grades. The V6 engine is EPA-certified as a Low Emission Vehicle (LEV)."

Y las post 2005 (Con caja 5ta) Año 2009:


The 4Runner is available with a choice of V6 or V8 engines, in both 2WD and 4WD models. The standard 4.0-liter dual overhead cam (DOHC) V6 engine produces 236 horsepower, with 266 lb-ft. of torque at 4,000 rpm

En todas las configuraciones las RP cambian en 2 rangos o es 41/11 o 43/11
la caja A340F tiene varilla para medir y usa aceite ATF Type IV Toyota
la caja A750F no tiene varilla para medir y usa aceite ATF WS Toyota...

A mas "nuevo" el motor 1GR-FE le iban añadiendo mas power.....y torque

La "mejor combinación" 1GRFE + A340F + RP 3,9 para offroad, desde stock
La "mejor combinación" para mucha autopista 1GRFE + A750F + RP 3,7 Part Time
La "mejor combinacion" para sentirse siempre seguro y sacrificando consumo 1GRFE + A750F + RP 3,7 FULL TIME

Lo mejor de todos los mundos y sin preocuparse del consumo, y teniendo maximo agarre
la USA specs 2UZFE + A750F Full time

Me llamo la atención que las post 2005 figuraran con menos HP que las versiones anteriores.

Muchas gracias, me quedo mas claro el tema.

Lo único que no me quedo muy claro es la diferencia de potencia y torque entre las 4th Gen 1GR-FE (o si existiera alguna diferencia), independiente de las cajas utilizadas.

En algunas paginas aparecen con 245 HP y 282 lb.-ft para todas las versiones (entre el 2003 hasta el 2009), y en otras paginas 236 hp y 266 lb-ft para las post 2005 (no es muy lógico) ...
